AUDIO VISUAL SERVICE STANDARDS
The Parkway Convention Centre provides its own on site production and Presentation Services and extend services. We recognize that you may choose another audio visual Company therefore, you are required to inform the hotel who your supplier is within 30 days prior to your event. This notice allows us to make sure that the Supplier has full copies of our audiovisual service standards, regulations and costs prior to the planning process.

FUNCTION SPACE
The hotel reserves the right to alter function space based on the increase or decrease in numbers of expected guests.

LABOR CHARGES (Subject to Tax)
  • For events that guarantee 25 or fewer guests, a labor charge will apply.
  • If a Chef Attendant is requested for your event, a labor charge per attendant (minimum of two hours required) will apply. ·
  • A standard double-sided buffet will serve 150 guests in one hour. If additional buffets are requested beyond this standard, a charge will apply.
  • If a service attendant is requested for services, a per hour service fee will be charged with a 3 hour minimum.
  • If a coat check attendant is requested for your event, additional charges will apply. Consult you Service Manager for details.
  • If Hotel staff is requested to place client materials on tables or chairs for an event, a per item charge will apply.
  • In general, function rooms are set and ready 15 minutes prior to the start of the event. Events that require the room to be completely set with doors open prior to this standard will result in a labor charge based on the agreed set time.

LIQUOR LIABILITY
In accordance with the liquor laws governing Ontario and the City of St. Catharines, a guest must be 19 years or older to consume alcoholic beverages. We reserve the right to exercise our legal responsibility and social obligation in refusing further service to any guest whom exhibits signs of intoxication.

PARKING
Parking is available complimentary. Valet parking is available upon request at an additional fee.

PAYMENT POLICY
Direct billing is available pending the Hotel's credit approval process. Direct billing will be considered for events exceeding charges of $10,000.00 (not including tax). Direct billing applications must be received 60 days prior to the event. Event charges of $10,000.00 and less require a pre-approved credit card. Deposits are required for all events.

SECURITY
The Hotel shall not assume responsibility for damage or loss of any merchandise or articles. The Hotel can assist with arranging private security with an outside company to secure: exhibits, audio visual set-ups, merchandise or displays.

SERVICE CHARGE AND SALES TAX
All food and beverage is subject to % service charge and % sales tax, which is subject to change. Please note that service charge is taxable.

SHIPPING AND RECEIVING
The Hotel will provide storage, pick-up and transfer of materials (less than 200 pounds) from any internal location within our hotel. Boxes received more than three days prior to the first event will incur a $25.00 per piece storage fee for each additional day outside of three days. All shipment items received by the hotel incur a standard per piece handling charge based on weight:
  • Less than 5 pounds, $5.00 each
  • 6-20 pounds, $10.00 each
  • 21-50 pounds, $25.00 each
  • Over 50 pounds, $50.00 each
  • Skids/crates will be $200.00 per skid/crate

Items labeled "Fragile" will assess a $15.00 surcharge beyond the above prices. In addition, any outbound shipping will incur the same handling charges listed above, excluding the actual shipping costs.
